Is the tank higher or lower and how much. There are several ways to do this some kind of cheap compared to the expensive options. You could put in a new system for the RV, that means tanks, drain field, pumps and timers if required, plus engineering and permits. You could put in a grinder pump and tank, and pump it to the existing septic tank. You could get a macerator pump for the RV and run a line to the existing septic tank. The last option is what I did at my parents house for when we visit in our motorhome because their septic tank was uphill from where we park it and was the cheapest option. I buried a 1″ line and tied it into the septic tank. At the RV end I ran the line into a underground valve box with lots of gravel under it to handle any spillage.

The first step is to consider how you will position your RV at the campsite. Try to position your RV on level ground, avoiding any obstacles or muddy ground. If the ground is not completely level, you can use leveling blocks to level it out. Next we will look at a safe and efficient method to hook up your utilities.
Use the white non-toxic hose for hooking up to the water source and take along a green or black garden hose for all other uses like flushing out holding tanks or washing the RV. When you’re not using the drinking hose roll it up and connect the two ends together.
We do not allow tents. RV hook ups are located in the middle of your site. You also may need to park in your tow vehicle in overflow parking. Premium Back In satellite friendly: These sites are adjacent to town and back up to a road. Premium Back In Forest: These sites back up to the Gallatin National Forest.

Wireless Backup Camera for RV with Rear View Monitor
Tester k I think that, as brad says, this needs either separate neutrals 5 conductors or an upstream double-pole breaker. You could use a single pole breaker, but you’d have to size the conductors and overcurrent protection at 50 amperes. You would need to have a ganged 30A breaker at the upstream breaker panel, as this is a multi-wire branch circuit.
If you go this route you will definitely need to have a 20A breaker at the hookup panel to protect the outlet and anything connected to it.
Utility Hook Ups. When you are in a camp ground that has either partial hookups (usually only water and electric) or has full hookups (water, electric, and sewer), usually hooking up your utility connections is the next step after levelling your RV.

A simple coax cable works for most RV parks that have a cable hook-up, and we’ve found 50ft is plenty long. Of the few RV parks we visit in our travels only a small handful have cable, and of those only a couple have a quality non-static signal.
Each cell, when fully charged, will produce close to 2. It takes 6 cells connected in series Of course it only takes three cells to make a 6 volt battery that, when full charged, will produce about 6. It doesn’t matter how big the lead-acid cells are they will still only produce 2. The two batteries are ruffly the same size and weight but the 12 volt battery has 6 cells while the 6 volt battery three.
We can assume the cells in the 6 volt batter are larger and contain more lead than the cells in the 12 volt battery. The larger cells in the 6 volt battery allow it to provide electricity longer while maintaining a usable voltage and that is partly why many RVers choose to use them. Since RV circuits operate on 12 volts, an RVer who chooses to use golf car batteries will need two of them connected in series It’s important to note that while connecting two 6 volt batteries in series will double the voltage it does not increase the amount of time the batteries will provide usable power.
That is determined by the size amount of lead of each cell. A parallel arrangement connects all the positive sides of each battery together and all the negative sides of each battery together.

June 20, Campskunk 30 Comments If you already have a satellite television setup at your sticks and bricks house, it’s easy to take it with you when traveling. I have been fulltiming for three years now and have been able to set up my satellite television dish and watch TV wherever I go in about 15 minutes. Here’s how it’s done. First, you have to get the equipment.
You already have what’s called a receiver — a box the size of a DVD player your satellite provider gave you. You also have a permanently installed satellite dish at your house, probably up on the roof somewhere. The trick to making your system portable is to bring the box and a second dish on a tripod, and set it up wherever you travel to. Google around and you’ll find them.
The important thing is that they have a 2 inch diameter pipe for the mast to fit a DirecTV dish. You will also need a dish — mine is the Slimline 5 LNB model here. Check with SolidSignal, on Amazon, or any of the other dish sellers to see if they have what you have at home. SWM single wire method is common on recently installed units; others have two cables. High definition packages require the larger oval Slimline dishes.

How to Hook Up and Unhook Your RV at a Campsite
Permalink One thing about residential toilets is they may be beneficial to folks who don’t use enough water when flushing the RV toilet. Black tanks need plenty of water to dump correctly. I know when we started full-timing we didn’t use enough water to flush and I suspect many RV’ers are the same way. They see the tank level monitors and subconsciously think they need to limit the amount of water they use to flush. Might help with some of the black tank problems that seem to plague a lot of RV’ers.

Installing dual RV batteries is fairly simple, but the results could be disastrous if done wrong. If your energy use is limited to a volt lighting system, water pump, refrigerator, CO alarm, volt stereo system, heater, then two group 27 or group 29 deep cycle batteries will probably be enough. If you use a microwave or home theater system, you will probably need a battery bank of Amp hours. These are a combination of deep-cycle and starting batteries. You will probably want to replace them with true deep cycle batteries, as they can be drawn down and recharged over and over again.
Try to get batteries with high amp hour ratings. Do not use regular car batteries, as they are used for smaller engines and wont last long in an RV. Never install a new battery with an old battery. It is best to buy two new batteries and install them both at the same time. If this happens, you would have just wasted a perfectly good new battery.
